Behind every great animated film lies a wealth of expertise, passion and commitment. At the École des Nouvelles Images, we are fortunate to have an emblematic figure in this field among us: Thibaut Delahaye, senior animator and head of the 2D/3D Animation course.
A career fuelled by passion
Before entering the world of animation, Thibaut dreamed of illustrating comic strips. In the end, it was the language of movement that won him over, through training in 3D that propelled him to his debut on the TV series Funky Cops. His talent soon led him to work on major projects such as Les Triplettes de Belleville, Croc-Blanc and Even Mice Belong to Heaven.
But it was with the film Flow, le chat qui n'avait plus peur de l'eau - which won Oscars, Césars and Golden Globes - that Thibaut's work gained international recognition, underlining the quality of his skills and consolidating his place in the contemporary animation landscape.

A teacher at the service of students
For several years now, Thibaut has been passing on this wealth of experience within our school. Today, as Head of the Animation Department, he oversees the entire course of study for students in 2D and 3D animation, with particular attention paid to the accuracy of acting, body mechanics and the animation of four-legged characters.
His teaching approach? Demanding but benevolent. He teaches animation as a living art, where every movement must carry meaning and emotion. Through courses, workshops and project support, he embodies this desire to train well-rounded, curious and technically solid artists.
A committed and inspiring professional
Versatile, Thibaut masters the main production software and is always on the lookout for developments in the sector. His experience in the video game industry, with titles such as Furi, Haven, Blanc and John Wick VR, testifies to his willingness to explore a variety of worlds and his ability to adapt his work as an animator to a wide range of demanding technical contexts. He also takes part in international conferences, most recently at FMX 2025, where he presented his work on Flow.
A reference for new generations
An all-round artist and a passionate teacher, Thibaut Delahaye is the embodiment, with strength and humility, of the excellence we stand for at the École des Nouvelles Images. His day-to-day commitment to the students actively contributes to the reputation of our school, both in France and internationally.
We're proud to have such an inspiring professional on our team, and we'd like to thank Thibaut for his generosity, his rigour... and his ever-welcome sense of humour in the corridors of the school.
