Ecole des Nouvelles Images graduation film in the Oscars® 2024 Shortlist

École des Nouvelles Images is pleased to announce that the animated short film "BOOM" has made it to the Oscars 2024 Shortlist. Out of 93 pre-selected films, the Academy gathered on Thursday, December 21, to announce the top 15 animated short films in competition for the last stage of nominations.

Category: Best Animated Short Film

Next step: Announcement of nominations on January 23, 2024

The Oscars® ceremony will take place on Sunday, March 10, 2024, at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood and will be broadcasted in over 200 countries worldwide!

We are the only school competing for the Oscars® in the Best Animated Short Film category, and our graduates are currently in competition with Walt Disney Animation Studios and their short film 'Once Upon a Studio,' celebrating the iconic studio's 100th anniversary. This is an exceptional journey for this graduation film, which has also recently won the gold medal at the Student Academy Awards in Los Angeles. It is now the 4th film from our school to qualify for the Oscars® race, and the 2nd to reach the highly esteemed Shortlist. This is truly exceptional!
