BOOM team with the Gold Medal

This award, which places École des Nouvelles Images at the top of international schools, allows the directors and the school to enter the race for the Oscars®, alongside the biggest studios and professional artists.

After HORS PISTE, WILD LOVE and GRAND BASSIN, it's the time for BOOM to compete with the biggest international studios for the precious Oscar.

Created by the Academy Awards® in 1972, the Student Academy Awards provide a platform for emerging filmmakers. The gold, silver and bronze medals in the four award categories are announced at a major ceremony.

The directors were hosted by the Academy for a week in Los Angeles. They were able to visit animation studios such as Sony, Crunchyroll, Disney, etc. to meet the teams and present the film. It was a great opportunity, both friendly and professional, to build up an important professional network.
