The "Video Game & Real Time Image" training arrives in Avignon

★ Avignon welcomes the future of digital images ★

We are proud to announce that our "Video Games & Real Time Image" program will be established at the beginning of the new school year on our Avignon campus, alongside our "3D Animation Film" program of excellence. This is a new opportunity for students of both programs to learn from each other's passions. Dedicated to animated films, interactive and immersive images, at the frontier of the arts and new technologies, the School of New Images meets the future challenges of digital creation.

A project supported by "Région Sud"

This educational project, which is structuring for the region and responds to the strategic challenges of developing the creative industries, is supported by the Southern Region.

There is a strong tension in the digital creation professions (animation and video games). Full employment was announced a few years ago. It is therefore important to develop our training to meet this demand. The professionalism of our teaching staff, the many international awards that have crowned the success of our students' work, and the excellent integration of our young graduates into the job market are solid assets for developing this training program dedicated to the video game and real-time image professions.

The close links between video games and animated films

New challenges are emerging as a result of the close relationship between video games, animated films and live action.

Our professions are hybridizing, our creative tools are harmonizing, and our young creators are now crossing these professional paths without hesitation.

It seems essential to us, as part of the development of our school, to participate in these artistic and technical connections, allowing our students to be always at the forefront of developments.

The video game in a few figures

2021 is the best year in the history of video games in France. In "L'essentiel du jeu vidéo" (Video Game Essentials), published in March 2022, the Syndicat des éditeurs de logiciels de loisirs (French Association of Entertainment Software Publishers) shows that the sector grew by 1.6% compared to 2020, which was already a record year. It has thus reached €5.6 billion in sales when, for comparison, it was €2.7 billion in 2013 (the first year of analysis for "L'essentiel du jeu vidéo", 2014 edition).

A meteoric rise! In just a few years, the sector has become the leading cultural industry in France, but also in the world.
